IWC Charity event 14 October

The International Women's Club raised more than 60.000 SEK to the Foundation for the Astrid Lindgren Children´s Hospital

The International Women's Club of Stockholm (IWC) held a wonderful Charity Luncheon at Operaterassen on October 14th, 2014, for the benefit of the Foundation for the Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital Foundation.

The IWC raised more than 60,000 sek, which will be allocated to a specific project within the Neuropediatric Unit of the Hospital: The Furuboda Summer Camp.
The stay at Furuboda has been an important part of the rehabilitation of children and adolescence with an acquired brain injury and a help to process the crisis and trauma that the children have experienced.

With more than 180 plus women in attendance, the IWC hosted a fabulous Fashion Show by the luxury Italian fashion brand Fabiana Filippi, located in Stockholm at Birger Jarlsgatan 2. In attendance was Swedish journalist Ebba von Sydow. Ebba conducted the exclusive Auction of luxury prizes. 
Among the many donors that contributed were; Frantzen Restaurant, Mathias Dahlgren (Matsalen Restaurant), Sacha Juan, Leila Lindholm, Kungliga Operan, Ebba Brahe Jewellery, Fabiana Filippi, Face Stockholm, Rituals, Make Up Store, and may others.

The IWC is a social organisation comprising of more that 300 women of 65 nationalities. The IWC provides a platform for it's members and newcomers to Sweden to create networks and facilitate settlement in a new environment. One of the most important goals of the Club is their philanthropic work. In fact, the International Women's Club has strongly supported, during the more than 50 years of their existence, a variety of philanthropic projects, primarily with a focus on children and women in need, either here in Sweden and/or abroad.
